History
Our computer system occupied a large air conditioned room in Mount Clemens. It consisted of a main console where the keyboard was built into, and the main screen sat. The processor, memory, and interface circuit boards were located in the chassis compartments underneath the large console's counter-like surface.
Rows of disk drives were positioned in front of the main processor, each resembling a tall slim washing machine.
This is where the "tracks" of storage were kept.
A rack of Racal/Vadic modem chassis were
positioned behind the system, where dial-up
data calls were routed into.
The system also had dedicated high speed
modem connections as well.
